The section has run this show since the late seventies.
At present we are reconsidering how this should be continued and how best to benifit the members and the vendors.
All contributions to this discussion are welcome.

In the meantime the Section is participating actively in the organisation of the Pharmatex series of conferences and exhibitions.
The next of these is scheduled for 16th to 18th September 2008 at Radisson SAS Hotel, Ditchley House, Little Island, Cork.
The two tracks the Section has organised are:
Track G: Industrial Communications (Eoin Ó Riain)
Track H: MES and ISA S95: The Next Step in Automation (Kevin Dignam)
The ISA's input is being co-ordinated by Billy Walsh.
| The section has been selected to receive a Section Performance Award for outstanding accomplishment for it's part in organising Pharmatex 2007. The award presentation, which will be made at the Annual Banquet in the States, includes an honorarium and plaque. The citation reads: For outstanding accomplishment serving as joint organizers of the PHARMATEX 2007 Conference.

 Note also our Charter 30th Anniversary Dinner scheduled for November 8th. This is a real chance to meet old friends and to network.
